Gold prices fell for second time in three days

Jewelers have taken another step in reducing gold prices, marking a three-day consecutive drop of 1.2 percent, as announced by the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus).

Starting today, each bhori of gold will be priced at Tk 98,210, a significant 1.74 percent decrease compared to Yesterday's rate of Tk 99,960.

This reduction signifies a noteworthy 3 percent drop, equivalent to Tk 3,033 per bhori, in the price of 22-carat gold. This price had remained consistently above Tk 100,000 for over a month.

The decision to lower gold prices was made by Bajus in response to the declining cost of pure gold within the local market.

The gold market has been experiencing fluctuations for more than a year, making these price adjustments crucial for consumers and the jewelry industry alike.
